DIRECTIONS (From Cork City)
From the Kinsale Road Roundabout, take the N27 west (a.k.a. Kinsale Road) to Kinsale. Go through Kinsale and over the bridge and head towards Ballinaspittle. From there follow the signs to Garrettstown. This journey takes roughly 45 minutes(if your not stuck behind a tractor all the way!).

GENERAL INFO
There are two beaches here, but the White Strand(northwest of The Atlantic Manor Hotel) is the more popular one with surfers, but the other(Garrylucas) can be good when the White Strand is blown out. The waves crash very close to the shore though.
White Strand is a southwest facing beach break, ideal for biginners and intermediates, with a good right at the western end of the beach. It is best at low tide and northerly winds blow offshore. The only hazzards here are man-made groines, which only become dangerous at mid and high tide. Watch out for a heavy infestation of harmless jellyfish in late spring and summer!

Any extra information or advice about this beach would be deeply appriciated. Click here to email me. Thanks!
